Flag House to Participate in 14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day
September 6, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Star-Spangled Banner Flag House will open its doors on Saturday September 22, 2018, as part of Smithsonian magazine’s fourteenth annual Museum Day Live!, an initiative in which participating museums across the United States emulate the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington DC-based facilities, which offer free admission every day, and open their doors for free to those who download a Museum Day Live! ticket.
Smithsonian recognizes the extraordinary power of museums, and other cultural institutions, to provide visitors with insight and inspiration. The event represents a nationwide commitment to boundless curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge wherever you are.
Happening at the museum on September 22:
- Don’t miss our temporary exhibit, Fabric Expressions by artist Grandmother Edna Lawrence
- Paper Quilting Workshop, 1 PM – 3 PM
The Museum Day Live! ticket will be available for download at Smithsonian.com/museumday on August 15, 2018. Visitors who present the Museum Day Live! ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues on September 22, 2018. One ticket per email address is permitted.
